Hi All,
We are trying to upgrade one of our cacti instances from version 0.8.8b to Version 1.2.24.
I follow below process to install and migrate data from old installation.
1. create new debian 11 server.
2. installed required tools.
3. git clone Version 1.2.24 to /var/www/html/cacti/
4. create empty database named cacti.
5. dump the old 0.8.8b database and import to this new database.
6. went through cacti installation and database upgrade process.
7. copied custom snmp_query.xml from old server to new server. this is required for specific nokia devices
After these step, new cacti Version 1.2.24 up and running and all my graphs/devices are there.
Before copy old rra data over from old setup, I wait few hours to see how the new instance update the rrd graphs. but most of the graphs are broken and intermittent. Some graphs are not updating at all.
Then I went for few troubleshooting steps.
1. confirmed with snmpwalk that I can poll data from devices
2. run the php repair_database.php --force to repair database. it was showing found some issues and fixed.
3. enabled debug logs. but not able to find anything useful related to this
4. ran rebuild poller cache and rebuild resource cache
5. tested both cmd.php and spine.
But still graphs are broken and intermittent. (attached screenshot)
Also the old server which running old cacti version 0.8.8b working perfectly. (attached screenshot)
What can be the issue ? appreciate your inputs
Thanks

Need to review your cacti log, and keep in mind with 1.2.x, the thread and process tunables are maintained at the collector level.

For those wondering, I'm still here, but lost in the shadows. Yearning for less bugs. Who want's a Cacti 1.3/2.0? Streams anyone?
