Post by mpahlevanzadeh »

I installed a Main Collector and it's okey and has graph from. According to new scenario, we are forced to install a Remote Data collectors according to cacti documention:
1. extract cacti in RDC host.
2. change variables of database.
3. import sql file.
4. open new tab and visit host of RDC of cacti.

After some next click, system generate the following log.

Ok, I guess the hostname there is the main server.

Did you also enter/configure the normal "$database_hostname = 'localhost';" part ?

Ok, so config looks good.

Can you actually login to the Remote Data Collector or is the installation in a loop ?

You may just want to use the CLI script. If there are no plugins, and it's a fresh table, there should be no tables to convert.

Well, if it's entirely new system thing should stay reasonably in sync, but doing a full sync one and a while will help if there have been extended disconnects.
