Hi Team ,
We have been advised by system administrators to upgrade the db of our cacti 1.2.18 from Maria db 5.5 to 10.5 and for php we have to upgrade from 5.x to 7.x .
So my question was related to compatibility. Is cacti 1.2.18 or higher version compatible with Maria db 10.5 and php 7.x .
Has any one already using those versions of db and php .
Many thanks ,
Gopal

I used MariaDB 10.5 for a while. I'm on a slightly patched 1.2.15.

For those wondering, I'm still here, but lost in the shadows. Yearning for less bugs. Who want's a Cacti 1.3/2.0? Streams anyone?

Hi Larry ,
Thanks for reply . I assume if cacti 1.2.15 with slightly patched version works with Maria db 10.5 then 1.2.18 should work .
What about php 7.X ??
And how did you install Maria db 10.5 , I mean from source or through Rpm or through any other mechanism like SCL because RHEL 7 and I think even higher version of RHEL does not support this Maria db 10.5 . please throw some light on this Maria db upgrade procedure.
Best Regards ,
Gopal
