Linux Distro Choice

Post by cksrealm »

Hi guys, I have been using Cacti for years in a home type lab setup and on a small scale. Now looking at a larger deployment +-2000 devices. What is the general thoughts on the best OS to use for this. Ultimately looking at running a few cacti nodes to take the number of devices and some geographical challenges with links etc. I have been using Ubuntu Server for all my testing works.

Thanks in advance

I'm using Rocky 8 ATM for my lab stuff and RHEL 8 for more production stuff. Good OS.

For those wondering, I'm still here, but lost in the shadows. Yearning for less bugs. Who want's a Cacti 1.3/2.0? Streams anyone?
