How to select the right template?

Post by Rander »

In the Cacti Wikipedia article, the image shown shows the traffic graph as looking like the standard in MRTG - and I would like mine to look like that to! The problem is, that Cacti will not allow me to chose that template when setting it up!

I assume that the template i need is "Interface - Traffic (bytes/sec, Total Bandwidth)". I have my Asus router set up, and I can get it to do a graph, which are wrong colors and missing totals.

- but the template I need is not listed.

So, how do I get to select the correct graph?

Does the device support snmp? Have you added the SNMP - Traffic Data Query to the Device? If so, that's where you will find the Interface Graphs.

For those wondering, I'm still here, but lost in the shadows. Yearning for less bugs. Who want's a Cacti 1.3/2.0? Streams anyone?
