Gaps in graphs

Post by renegade310 »

We got huawei s6730.
Sometimes gaps appears in graphs.
But there is no errors in logs.
Even more, we got Librenms, and graphs from libre is ok.
And this problem only with huawei, other switches is ok.
What can it be?

What's your poller interval? It could be simply that you need to poll less frequently. It looks like the device caches data and you are simply polling too frequently. Contact the device manufacturer and see if the cache interval is tunable otherwise.

Poller interval 1 min, using Spine.

Poll less frequently is not that case. For testing purposes I add all 3 hua switches to prometheus + snmp_exporter with 1 min interval and no problems.
Did not find any cache tunning option for snmp in manual.

Are you using 64 bit counters?

Update to 1.2.22 ASAP and then apply the updated poller_commands.php script from the 1.2.x branch of Cacti. This was just fixed recently.

I was already using the latest 1.2.22.
I take the file poller_commands.php from 1.2.x branch but no changes.

Increasing the heartbeat takes some scripting knowhow. Start with the RRDtool documentation.
