Second Server

We are currently building a pair of servers to replace our old 0.8.8h server.

If we populate the database on one server can we duplicate this database to the other using mysqldump?
If we do this will new rrd files be created on the second server?

The process is published on the forums somewhere but it ostensibly means installing a 1.0 system then replacing the 1.0 database with your 088 database and then running the database upgrade script to upgrade all your tables.

Remember to take note of all the plugins that were integrated into the 1.0 version there are several plugins that are no longer relevant make sure you do that check before you move a bunch of plugins over to the new system.

After you get everything running you can our sync the Rd files from the old system and just keep going.
