Increasing Disk Space Issue

Hi! Trying to increase VG size for my Linux VM running in VMware. Vgextend, lvextend, etc... myy new space is there. but VM will not work after next reboot..
Got corruption in /dev/dma-2. Nothing will fix it.
What am I missing here?

This is a Cacti appliance ... running on linux VM.
All other Linux working well, but on this linux running Cacti we have this issue.
