get snmp data returns output: U

Post by stefandewal »

Hi,

i have an oid which a try to read via get snmp data.

when looking into the logs i see this:

SNMP: v2: x.x.x.x , dsname: zyap_clients, oid: .1.3.6.1.4.1.890.1.15.3.5.15, output: U

but when i do the check via snmp:

snmpwalk -v2c -c xxxxx x.x.x.x:167 .1.3.6.1.4.1.890.1.15.3.5.15

can anyone explain this and perhaps tell me how to fix this?

Does the agent even return that from the command line? If so, increase your Timeout in Cacti.

you mean this:

snmpwalk -v2c -c xxx 1.1.1.1:168 .1.3.6.1.4.1.890.1.15.3.5.15
output:
SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.890.1.15.3.5.15.0 = INTEGER: 3

There is a 0 at the end. Change your OID to add the .0 at the end.
