It's like it's all working, but I don't have any MAP TAB on the main page, nothing shows anywhere ??????????

So did you have a MAP tab or not ?

Did you have the directory 'images' under plugin->map directory ?
if you don't have it will cause some trouble since you won't have the icon nor the map tab image.


I know I still have 1 problem, when you click on the tab MAP the map won't show up the first time, and it's look blank. you have to click F5 (refresh the page) to show up.
I still didn't figure out why it's reacting like that, and that piss me off. But it's the only thing not working.
Otherwise you should have everything.

No you can't access it directly outside cacti, since it use the cacti config to get all the information (DB most of it).

And I can assure you cacti is using in entrepise wide and production all over the world.

Just to clarify my response:

1. Its not working

2. The MAP TAB is only displayed under Configuration Setting, there is has the MAP TAB

3. When I said its like its working I mean, it downloaded properly, extracted properly, directory permissions were correct, install Plugin worked perfectly, under Configuration setting Map TB the options were showing for setup such as API KEY, GoogleMaps or OpenstreetMaps, etc.

4. NO MAP TAB on main console screen.

5. NO MAPS showing.

Pretty much sums it up.

nor int cacti_stderr.log ?

And if you activate the map debug log ?
Nothing at all ?

I activated the map dbug on install.

Nothing in the logs at all anywhere.

I uninstalled the plugin

I cleared the cacti logs

I reinstalled the plugin, set it up.

No errors in the log

Honestly, I'M STUMMPED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I see no errors on anything I have installed and running.

Likely need to make sure you enable Unsafe Javascript eval() use in Cacti. Console > Configuration > Settings > General > Site Security.

Error 500 means that there is a php error that you are encountering before the script is actually even rendered. So, the downside of that, is that there is no backtrace in the Cacti.log. One way you can get around this is to edit the php.ini file for Apache and then set the following variable:

display_errors = on

Then restart Apache and php-fpm (if using it). After that, when you goto that page, you should see some text echoed to the browser to give you a clue. This is what a web developer will do when in the development stages of a website or for Cacti a plugin.

If the page is failing due to an Ajax callback, you might need to bring up the browsers debug window and goto the Network tab and view the error message in the Response section of the network tab.

That sounds like a JavaScript error you should go into the JavaScript console and then post the error messages you are receiving on that page to the GitHub page.
