realtime duplicates - PHP/SQL errors

Post by tophercer »

Hello,

I'm not sure if I should be posting this here or in a separate "bug report" section. I ran into the following error today for the first time:

24-Mar-2022 14:21:30 - CMDPHP SQL Backtrace: (/cmd_realtime.php[256]:db_execute_prepared())
24-Mar-2022 14:21:30 - CMDPHP ERROR: A DB Exec Failed!, Error: Duplicate entry '32917-cisco_up_Unerroreds-2022-03-24 14:21:29' for key 'PRIMARY'
24-Mar-2022 14:21:30 - CMDPHP SQL Backtrace: (/cmd_realtime.php[256]:db_execute_prepared())
24-Mar-2022 14:21:30 - CMDPHP ERROR: A DB Exec Failed!, Error: Duplicate entry '32917-cisco_up_Uncorrecta-2022-03-24 14:21:29' for key 'PRIMARY'
24-Mar-2022 14:21:30 - CMDPHP SQL Backtrace: (/cmd_realtime.php[256]:db_execute_prepared())
24-Mar-2022 14:21:30 - CMDPHP ERROR: A DB Exec Failed!, Error: Duplicate entry '32917-cisco_up_snr_fec-2022-03-24 14:21:29' for key 'PRIMARY'
24-Mar-2022 14:21:29 - CMDPHP SQL Backtrace: (/cmd_realtime.php[256]:db_execute_prepared())
24-Mar-2022 14:21:29 - CMDPHP ERROR: A DB Exec Failed!, Error: Duplicate entry '32917-cisco_up_Correcteds-2022-03-24 14:21:29' for key 'PRIMARY'

It appears to be triggered by 2 different users opening a realtime window to the same graph simultaneously. The errors appear every 30-60 seconds, and there are 2 lines for each data source in the graph. I am running Cacti v1.2.7, with php 5.5.38 on CentOS 6.10. I recognize that my server is in need of updates, but since I could not find any other forum posts about this error, I thought it would be worth reporting regardless.

Its likely that this issue has been fixed in the last 3 years, so yes upgrading to a supported version and OS is probably warranted.
