hosts on other networks to talk to cacti

hi all,

does cacti offer a what others call

proxy (zabbix)/probe (prtg) /snmp proxy (librenms) /distributed poller (librenms) for other hosts on other networks that cant reach the main cacti server

as the only way for other hosts on other networks to talk to the cacti server is via a proxy, so the proxy is kind of in the middle between the hosts and the main server, if that makes sense

so instead of a full LAMP stack+cacti install on another ubuntu server, can i just install

mariadb
spine
php

on another ubuntu server, will that be enough to talk to the main cacti server?
