unix ping latency graph will not be created

Hello,
I've been back and forth with this for a number of days..
Version 1.2.19 on Ubuntu 20.4
using the CMD poller (not SPINE)..

When I try to create the Unix PING latency graph for my devices, I get the page that let's me choose the color and title for the graph. I hit "create" ,,,, and NOTHING happens... It just sits there.
The graph is not created...
Nothing in the log ...
It's a mystery...

My other graphs all work fine... eg Device Polling Time etc ... INterface stats etc ...

All help would be apprecieated ...

thanks Macan, there is no quick and dirty fix then ? just to get the Unix Ping creation working ...
A full upgrade seems harsh... (The system is on a site with no Internet, so I will have to test it back in the office/lab first)
