What theme is shown on www.cacti.net front page?

Post by kjstech »

Hello,

I have cacti version 1.2.3 running on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS 32-bit Linux and want to spin up a new Linux server VM using the latest 64-bit Ubuntu LTS. I noticed that cacti is up to 1.2.19, so that's what, 16 iterations newer. Well on the new server just messing around (I tried it both ways, the apt-get install cacti, and also the git clone) - it doesn't look like the modern UI as shown on www.cacti.net on the front page. Is that some sort of updated theme? I was wondering if cacti was up for a visual refresh since its looked very simular in the last decade or more.

Just curious...

That is a new theme that I introduced into the develop branch along with a few other juicy based themes for 1.3. As such, you won't find them in 1.2.x unfortunately without doing the manual backporting work for yourself.

Ah well I like the look and the way its going. Looking very forward to it. Thank you for your hard work on this project.

I got my system moved over to a new VM. Everythings working great. The longest time was exporting the rrdfiles to XML and running out of disk space and having to add another one and start over. I then just attached that virtual disk to the new VM and converted them back from XML to rrd and moved to the new location.

Everythings working ok so far, will play with it more on Monday morning.
