Dear all
Good day,
Need some guidance on General Graph presentation in Cacti. As per our observation if we scale down to hour/half hour Graph presentation go like in jumps in graph however from PRTG same node graph with same granulairty is populating fine like a straight line but cacti always show jumps in plotting. Please guide.
Cacti output for RRD tool has been mentioned below.
RRDtool Command:
/usr/bin/rrdtool graph - \

Re: Cacti Graph Jumps in lower down scale
Not sure what your seeing as the problem. It appears that the PRTG graph is recording data every 30 seconds or less, and your Cacti graphs are set to record data every 5 minutes. Thus its going to look like that when you zoom all the way in.
Re: Cacti Graph Jumps in lower down scale
Thanks alot, From where i can verify that on what configuration cacti graph set or can modify equal to PRTG Graph so that Jumps shouldn't be visible in zoom or lower down scale
Re: Cacti Graph Jumps in lower down scale
Hi any further guidance please. Thanks.
Re: Cacti Graph Jumps in lower down scale
Create a new Data Profile with a faster polling time. Increase the Poller and Cron times to match the interval. Then delete and recreate the graphs.
