move graph from one device to another

i'm a long time cacti user.Recently built a new server cacti 1.2.16. It is fine. i need help on moving a graph from once device to another. In older versions, i did so by first moving the data source & then the graph & it works perfectly.
IN the new 1.2.16 version, i am able to move the data source from device A to device B.
But when i move the same graph from Management, it give error"Sorry, we could not process your last action.Some Graphs not updated. Unable to change device for Data Query based Graphs."

Plz i need some solution.

If you are using the same graph template, why not just create the new graph and copy over the RRD? Would that not work ?
