remote poller processes no data sources

hi everybody,

I got a main poller and a remote poller. The remote poller runs every five minutes but does no data source processing:
2021-04-28 08:00:10 - SYSTEM STATS: Time:4.9940 Method:spine Processes:1 Threads:10 Hosts:9 HostsPerProcess:9 DataSources:0 RRDsProcessed:0

- database communication between them works fine.
- there are no errors or warnings in the logs.

I got no clue how I may debug it, has anybody a hin for me?

Do you actually have graphs created for the hosts? You aren't giving us any information to go off of.

Hi Cigamit,

yes, graphs have been created. Each of this 9 hosts got at least 4 data sources, but no data is submitted or collected from remote-poller.
What information do you need? I will post it as soon as posible.

as posted before, which information may help debugging this issue?
Since my last post, I reinstalled cacti on the remote poller and got it registered on the main poller. But as before no values are written to the rrds. I got no clue how and where I may enable debugging to get closer to the cause.

Any help would be appricated very much

What Cacti version?

Cacti version is 1.2.15 package on CentOS 7.9.
Spine on both hosts is 1.2.16
MariaDB is 5.5.68

There have been lots of fixes to the remote poller in 1.2.17. Also, your spine version should always be the same version as Cacti, otherwise you can run into major issues too.

Hi Cigamit,

I fixed the spine version, now it's on both pollers 1.2.15, but no changes.
Upgrade of cacti to 1.2.17 isn't that easy, because we use the centos 7 epel repository as source.
Any hint where the data gets lost? How may I debug the way of the data from remote poller to the main poller to the rrds?
