Hi all,
I'm a university student currently starting to learn network configurations . I have a problem: I have a network configured in linux (debian based) and cacti installed in one of my machines. I'm configuring a system of snmptraps to manage specific aspects of my network (i'm looking to know when one link ,in whathever machine it is, goes down). The case is that i'm using the snmptrapd deamon (snmptrapd.conf) and i can´t figure out a way to connect the traps received to CACTI. Do you know if theres a way to do it? I don't know if i'm posting this in thw right forum or if it should be in the linux part.
Thank you all

Re: SNMP Traps in CACTI
Cacti itself doesn't use SNMP Traps, there was a plugin that did at one point, but I am unsure if its been updated to work with the latest Cacti. Cacti itself will use SNMP to monitor/graph the device and links, and then the thold plugin can do alerts on those links.
