Weathermap Standalone Warning JavaScript & DOM

Post by zuka1337 »

I'm trying to install the latast version of weathermap standalone but the warning bellow is shown:

WARNING - Sorry, it's partly laziness on my part, but you really need JavaScript enabled and DOM support in your browser to use this editor. It's a visual tool, so accessibility is already an issue, if it is, and from a security viewpoint, you're already running my code on your server so either you trust it all having read it, or you're already screwed.
If it's a major issue for you, please feel free to complain. It's mainly laziness as I said, and there could be a fallback (not so smooth) mode for non-javascript browsers if it was seen to be worthwhile (I would take a bit of convincing, because I don't see a benefit, personally).

How can I overcome this issue?

Browser Javascript: ENABLED..

Tried with all my browsers, chrmoe, firefox, internet explorer and Microsoft Eadge...

Sounds like maybe jquery is missing. What version did you download, and from where?
Weathermap 0.98a is out! & QuickTree 1.0. Superlinks is over there now (and built-in to Cacti 1.x).
Some Other Cacti tweaks, including strip-graphs, icons and snmp/netflow stuff.
(Let me know if you have UK DevOps or Network Ops opportunities, too!)

Did you download the top zip file or the "source code"? The "source code" doesn't include jquery - it's just a zip of what was in github when that release was made. Unfortunately, I don't think I can disable those links.

It *sounds* like you downloaded the source code version, which would act as if javascript was disabled (it uses jquery to hide that message).
