graph rrd Invalid argument

Post by eb2020 »

Hi,

I have a strange issue with viewing graphs details for a new device that I have created.
I'm using cacti version 1.2.7
I have added a new device to the Console -> devices and then created several snmp traffic graphs.
snmp for this device is working well but I can't get any data for the graphs.
if I'm using realtime monitoring I can see the data, but long term data is not collected.
I'm getting an error message of "ERROR: mmaping file '/data/cacti-1.2.7/rra/177/1565.rrd':invalid argument.
I'm attaching a picture of the error message and also a file with the debug of the graph.
This issue happens on all interface on the device.
There is no issue of free disk space.
I need assistance in resolving this issue.

Thanks

Looks like the RRDfile is damaged.

Hi,
I think it is something else.
all the smaple files for that device should have been created at the directory /data/cacti/cacti-1.2.7/rra/177/.
I checked and there are no files at the 177 directory.
I looked at the folder permissions:
drwxr-xr-x. 2 apache apache 4096 Mar 31 15:38 177

Just for testing I changed it to:
drwxrwxr-x. 2 apache apache 4096 Apr 4 18:59 177

same issue, no files at the directory and the same error message for all the graph at this device.
I'm attaching the output file.

For some reason the Cacti is not creating files at the 177 directory.
I need assistance in resolving this issue.

Thanks
