Thold Daemon Not Started
Newbie here - Can not get Thold 1.5.2 to work properly - cacti 1.2.16 - Trying to setup Threshold on Uptime and can not get Thold or Monitor to trigger properly. Getting an email stating 'Thold Daemon Not Started' - but it is enabled. Running on VMware / Centos v7 Been trying to locate info in the forum but nothing seems related - Hope someone can lead me in the correct trouble shooting direction
Re: Thold Daemon Not Started
Well if you just want tholds, and don't have thousands of them, there is no reason to enable the thold daemon. Just disable it, and it should work normally.
Re: Thold Daemon Not Started
So if I understand correctly - just disable thold in gui and that should stop the erroneous emails ?? and if I have just a few tholds setup or down detection setup in monitor that will still work ?
Re: Thold Daemon Not Started
Disable the Daemon (this is a separate process that you have to manually run). You can then use thold and monitor without the errors for Daemon not started.
Re: Thold Daemon Not Started
Thanx for the quick feedback - disabled and email alert stopped - so that worked.
Just updated my thold settings to a simple setup - see if this works for down detection
