[Solved] Weathermap @ Cacti 1.2.x

Post by 0815 »

Hello,

is weathermap now in Cacti 1.2.x working without issues?
It seems there are a lot of threads, but I am not sure which one is the one which I should use with a fresh install of cacti in March 2021.

thx
Chris

Cacti 1.2.16 (from www.cacti.net)
Weathermap 0.98a (from https://github.com/thurban/plugin_weathermap)

and it is working fine so far

Are the installation instructions the same as with 0.98?

Hello All,

are you aware about any of network weathermap plugin incompatibility with the new cacti release?
fresh new environment:

Ubuntu 22.04
Cacti 1.2.24 (from www.cacti.net)
Weathermap 0.98a (from https://github.com/thurban/plugin_weathermap)

I'm getting:

[Thu Mar 09 14:45:09.285960 2023] [php:error] [pid 2826910] [client 192.168.20.92:52300] PHP Fatal error: Array and string offset access syntax with curly braces is no longer supported in /var/www/html/cacti-1.2.24/plugins/weathermap/setup.php on line 713

The current beta of weathermap for Cacti 1.2.x is now hosted here - https://github.com/Cacti/plugin_weathermap

I'm running it on Cacti 1.2.4.

I still see issues with weathermap development version on Cacti 1.2.24 where the config file gets cleared of all contents, or only has 1 line left (the BACKGROUND statement line, even if it is commented). I've seen that happen adding an existing config file to weathermap, and also using the editor. Any idea what might cause that?

Well, there is nothing logged. So, if it's not logged, it doesn't exist.
