Cacti Automation - Delete Graphs Automatically

Post by bpittman »

Hello,

I searched this forum and didn't find any recent answers for this: Is there a way for "dead" data sources to be deleted after some time along with their graphs and RRDFiles? These would be graphs / data sources that are no longer receiving any data from their queries and haven't been for some time (for example, a graph for interface traffic that is no longer receiving data because the interface has been disabled). I have Automation automatically creating interface graphs and placing them on the tree (which is proving to be fantastic). However, if an interface is disabled or deactivated entirely on the chassis, the graph and data source will remain. I am hoping there is a way that these could be automatically deleted after a period of time? I am aware of the RRDFile Cleaner, but that only applies if the data sources have been deleted.

Thanks!
