Generic_SNMP_Device and mimosa template interference ?

Post by kermu »

I downloaded and installed the mimosa template from
https://github.com/danpalamo/cacti-mimosa-b5-template
All statistics where O.K.
before.jpg
before.jpg (305.61 KiB) Viewed 841 times
Then I downloaded Generic_SNMP_Device.xml template
~# wget https://docs.cacti.net/_media/template: ... ice.xml.gz
and installed template via console
~# /usr/share/cacti/cli/import_package.php --filename=./Generic_SNMP_Device.xml.gz

but in instalation process errors occured:

Table: data_template, Column: name, New Value: SNMP - Generic OID Template, Old Value: Mimosa B5 - RX SNR Chain 1
Table: data_template_data, Column: name, New Value: |host_description| -, Old Value: |host_description| - RX SNR Chain 1
Table: data_template_rrd, Column: data_source_name, New Value: snmp_oid, Old Value: RX_SNR_CH1
Table: data_template_rrd, Column: t_rrd_maximum, New Value: on, Old Value:
Generic_SNMP_Device-install.txt
(15.51 KiB) Downloaded 40 times
When instalation was done I saw that one from my statistics has been broken

I's there an interference beetwen mimosa template and generic_snmp_device template ?
How can I resolve this problem ?

My cacti version is 1.2.16

Thank You very much for reply.

From the looks of it, the Mimosa template was created by renaming the Generic SNMP one, instead of cloning it, so all the hashes are the same. So yes, the Mimosa one is interfering.

I's possible to "rehash" mimosa oid template that will be not interfering with generic oid template,
maybe with this:

utility ?

We should have a utility to do things like this. It's on the exceptionally long list of things to do before I go.
