Cacti 1.2.10 Stuck on Install

Gosh how I love Linux.... always troubleshooting something. So after Ubuntu kept getting me stuck at the login page for Cacti in an infinite loop and trying to change the temp directory for PHP as that was the suggested solution with no luck I dumped Ubuntu and went to CentOS 8.

I got a lot further! instead now I'm stuck at

and it just continually loops there at 41% even after rebooting the server it just goes back to the same spot.

It passed all the pre-install checks with flying colors and now im stuck here. Any ideas?

Apparently its related to the bug still, I did finally get it to install

While installing that version, the file 'install/templates/Cacti_Stats.xml.gz' is corrupt and does not ungzip. So, grab a copy of the file from a previous tarball of Cacti and replace it. Then just wait a while (for me, it was about 35 minutes) and the install will re-attempt on its own. This should allow it to ungzip the file and continue the install.

Please try updating to 1.2.12 where this problem was resolved (hopefully).
