How to configure new graphs for 95%

Post by kriton »

Hi, running Cacti 1.2.14 on FreeBSD. There is currently 1 graph of a router that has 95% (In/Out bits 95th). For some reason, when wanting to create another new graph for a new device (has device template set to Cisco Router) we do not see the template for Interface - Traffic. Consequently we are unable to make any new graphs for interface traffic. This is due to clicking the device, add graph template, the Interface templates are not in the dropdown list.

When clicking 'create graphs for this device' and changing Graph Types from 'Graph Template Based' to SNMP - Interface Statistics', Data Query below it states:
This Data Query returned 0 rows, perhaps there was a problem executing this Data Query. You can run this Data Query in debug mode From there you can get more information.
Clicking the Data Query debug link produces:
Data Query Debug Information
Total: 0.000000, Delta: 0.000000, Found data query XML file at '/usr/local/share/cacti/resource/snmp_queries/interface.xml'

The graph templates for traffic are definitely present:

Code: Select all

Interface - Traffic (bits/sec, 95th) 31 No 2 200x700 PNG bits per second
Interface - Traffic (bits/sec, BW) 32 Yes 0 200x700 PNG bits per second
Interface - Traffic (bits/sec) 2 Yes 0 200x700 PNG bits per second
Interface - Traffic (bytes/sec, BW) 33 No 5 200x700 PNG bytes per second
Interface - Traffic (bytes/sec) 25 Yes 0 200x700 PNG bytes per second
Perhaps someone can let us know how to go about having the above templates available when creating new graphs for device.

Thanks.

You may have a restrictive snmpd.conf. I use simple ones. For example my snmpd.conf is exactly this:

rocommunity public

For those wondering, I'm still here, but lost in the shadows. Yearning for less bugs. Who want's a Cacti 1.3/2.0? Streams anyone?
