Tree messed up after upgrade

Post by arnakazim »

Hello,

I have created a new Debian 10 server and installed Cacti 1.2.14 on it in order to migrate an old Cacti server version 0.8.8b. Everything went more or less fine, but I have lost the trees' subitems. I still have the "root" trees, but all my devices are not in subfolders anymore. With around 1500 hosts, it is now a big mess...
On 0.8.8b : "root" > subfolder > hosts
0-8-8b.png
0-8-8b.png (22.64 KiB) Viewed 630 times
On 1.2.14 : "root" > hosts
1-2-14.png
1-2-14.png (29.1 KiB) Viewed 630 times
The subfolders appear in Console > Management > Trees and I can move hosts in them manually, but it would take days to reorder everything. Is there something I missed during my upgrade that has caused this issue ? And is there an automatic way to reorder everything as it was under 0.8.8b ? I don't mind redoing (again) the upgrade. Maybe should I upgrade to an intermediate version before upgrading to 1.2.14 ?

Thanks in advance for your help !

Do it from the devices page. Much faster. Highlight the devices and drop on the tree.
Before history, there was a paradise, now dust.
