cacti graphs broken for the last week

Hi my cacti graphs have been showing like that over the last one week any one to advise am new to cacti.

Either the device is down, it snmp timed out. Increase the devices timeout value.

Hi.. i have gone ahead to disable all the devices which are down... these are like 20 + devices...
is that the right thing to do ?
