I believe that percona have decided to drop support for cacti, though when I asked, they never gave me a reason.

I found a quite good workaround here: viewtopic.php?t=26458
The main difference is that with above script the Cacti server doesn't ssh to the client server to do a wget localhost but rather does the wget from itself
In the "Custom Data" field within the web interface you have to specify the whole path: http://your.host.name/nginx_status
