Gigabit interfaces on Cisco 3550

Post by Guest »

Has anyone had success in getting traffic over 100Mb/s on a Cisco 3550 switch? I tried changing the datasource to hcin/hcout and recieve the following
/usr/local/rrdtool-1.0.38/bin/rrdtool update /var/www/html/cacti/rra/t3550_gig02_2_in.rrd --template t3550_gig02_2_in N:No Such Instance currently exists

change it back to in/out and it works fine for speeds up to 100Mb/s but rolls over on speeds higher. the hcin/hcout worked fine on a Cisco 6509.

I am using Version 0.6.8
any Ideas?
Thanks,

Not sure if this is your case but there was a bug related to 3550 switch with not implemented 64-bit counters. This is supposed to be fixed in IOS 12.1(11)EA1.
