Debian 7 Upgrade A TLS fatal alert

Post by Crowe »

Hello, I am running Cacti 0.8 on Debian 7 (wheezy) and trying to upgrade cacti to 1.10 before I upgrade Debian to Stretch. When I try to download the release from the cacti “downloads” site it connects over 443 but then gives an error and disconnects. Please see the error below:

sudo wget --no-check-certificate http://www.cacti.net/downloads/cacti-1.1.10.tar.gz

I would download the archive to a server that can support newer encryption methods, then transfer it to the server in question. I think your SSL libraries are simply too old. The last version of Debian 7 was released over four years ago.
