Hello Folks,
I am noticing an unusual spike in "Interface - Traffic" graph. Looks like its following a cycle where it goes up to petabyte on "Inbound/Outbound" traffic and drops. However, the graph generated by the real-time plugin for the same interface doesn't show that behavior. Any idea what could be the reason?

Re: Cacti Graphs Spikes to Petabyte
Likely you created a 32bit graph, or you have the wrong polling interval/data source profile mix.

Re: Cacti Graphs Spikes to Petabyte
I used "In/Out Bits(64-bit Counter)" like all ours devices.I also tried deleting the graph with data source and re-add it but the the issue still occurs.
Re: Cacti Graphs Spikes to Petabyte
Your next step would be to manually walk the appropriate OIDs and check that the values are coming back properly. If they are not, that suggests a device issue and we have seen that before. If they do come back OK, that suggests some form of conversion issue of the data within Cacti or a modified CDEF that has an unexpected impact.

Re: Cacti Graphs Spikes to Petabyte
I agree. I ran snmpwalk every 5 minutes for 24 hours and couldn't find any hit. What I dont understand is, how come graph from a real-time plugin, not capturing any of these spike? Afterall it uses the same template/conversion.
Re: Cacti Graphs Spikes to Petabyte
Thank you. I will look into it.
