Deleted devices still showing up

Post by balor »

Hi everyone,

I'm new to Cacti and have been testing it for the last month. About a week ago I was trying to add a new device and the page seemed to time out after I created it and it wasn't showing in the devices page. I added it again and the same happened. Finally on the third attempt the device appeared. However both the other devices are now showing in the drop down device menu in the Graphs and Data Sources pages in Management. They also show up in the Monitor plugin page. I deleted all the associated graphs in RRD, cleared the RRDfile and rebuilt the Resource and Poller cache under Utilities but they still show in the menus and on the Monitor page. I deleted the device that was appearing thinking it might fix the problem but the ghost devices are still in the system. Any help would be great.

Basically, there is a deleted column on the host table. This was added in 1.2 to allow for the proper synchronisation of deleted devices. If you are seeing extra devices show up, this may not be set correctly and should be reported on github against the appropriate repo (ie, plugin or core).

Thanks netniV,

I posted this in the wrong location. Can it be moved to core? Here are details of my setup.

Windows Server 2016 Standard VM running on ESXi 6.5 Update 3 (Build 13932383)
Cacti Version 1.2.12 installed using BSOD2600's installer
