Report of Historical Parameters Values on Cacti 0.8.8f

Post by Rikii16 »

Hello Community,

We would like to know if there is a way to run a multi-parameter Cacti report historically.

Additional if it is possible to connect directly to the Cacti database to query the values.

i.e. If we have a cmts, we want to have the historical values of the CMs offline, online, BW, SNR, etc.

We appreciate any support or someone who has ever done this

Best Regards

You won't really get any support for such an old version of Cacti. That being said, the data is not stored in the Cacti database. Each Datasource has its own RRD file, typically stored in the rra directory (but may be elsewhere depending on how you installed Cacti). Yes there is a way to query that data, and google can answer that for you. You will need to use the Cacti database to figure out what RRA goes to what DataSource.

rrdtool dump is probably your best friend, or if you have a newer version of rrdtool, then use the JSONTIME image format to output the data values for a given graph with timestamps in json format.
