Unable to login to cacti 1.2.12

Had cacti working for long time. Tried to upgrade to 1.2.12. After a day, can no longer login.
Tried the following:
/usr/ports/net-mgmt/cacti make deinstall clean
rm -rf /usr/local/share/cacti

mysql> drop database cacti;

Then install again from scratch. Seems to be OK until the next day, unable to login to cacti.
tried uncommenting $cacti_cookie_domain (it's commented out by default) made no difference enabled or disabled

File system is not full or even close to full. Operating System is FreeBSD 11.3 amd/64

The login page doesn't show invalid user/password either.

No idea what is causing this.

What version of PHP do you have installed ?
if its anything less than 5.5 that would be your issue there

Just update to 1.2.13. This is a known issue that we were able to identify and resolved in that release.
