Cacti Location

Post by PerDeSi »

Hi Everyone,

First time installing Cacti so very Noob here.

I have installed Cacti version 1.2.11 on Debian 10. Running Php v7.3. I have two questions:

Question # 1: Currently my Cacti URL is pointing to http://serverip/cacti. How can I redirect it to http://cacti?
Question # 2: Can I rename to something else? Example: http://cacti1. If so, how?

Thank you all in advance for any guidance.

Have a great day.

You would need to set up a virtual host within your HTTP server, which will depend on what you are using - for example, Apache. I would check up on the documentation on how to do that. You would also need to create a DNS alias (CNAME) to point cacti.your.domain to the host you are running it on.
I once had an account here years ago...but can't find it. :(

Additionally, you would need to update the URL in the config.php to match as by default it assumes /cacti
