Upgrading from 1.2.6 to 1.2.10.
On the file permissions checks it shows that the log dir (/usr/share/cacti/log/) is Not Writable.
I can also see this in the cacti.log -that is in the directory that Cacti says is not writable:
Code: Select all
... - INSTALL-ERRORS: info: addError(Permission, /usr/share/cacti/log, Path is not writable)
I know that the permissions on the dir symlink and target dir (/var/log/cacti) are set to 777.
I removed that one log from Log Rotation in case there was a conflict but still have the same issue.
what is the permissions check actually testing?
I'm running CentOS 7.

Forgot to mention that even though that section says "Required Writable after Install Complete", the Next button is greyed out.
I am not sure if this is related to the Write Permissions or not.
Log section:

You should check if SELinux is blocking it.
