Graph Templates - Removing/adding Item
If you remove/add items to this list - will current graphs be updated with the new additions/subtractions? My cacti seems to be freaking out a bit an moving these items around on the graph templates - see the attachment.

There is a but in graph_templates_items.php. You can grab a fresh copy from the 1.2.x branch on GitHub..

Re: Graph Templates - Removing/adding Item
I'm on a much older version - is there a way to reset the graph template, without losing the historical data tied to these? I have aboue 21,000 graphs tied to this template.

Define 'way older'?

Re: Graph Templates - Removing/adding Item
And to answer your question, if you add and remove, everything will be fine so long as you don't add any new data sources. If you add data sources, you existing graphs will break. Been that way for a long time.

Re: Graph Templates - Removing/adding Item
I am on version 8.8f. So if I keep the data sources, which I will do, how would i go about "importing" a new interface bits/sec with total bandwidth and not lose all the historical data. Is that due to the data sources remaining? I really don't want to lose all the historical graphing I've done.
Re: Graph Templates - Removing/adding Item
Pictures will help - here is the template and that template's output on the graph - they do not match.

Re: Graph Templates - Removing/adding Item
Starting with 1.2.11, when you re-import a newer template, you will have the option to sync the templates. Re-importing the template generally does not break existing graphs, but do a preview first and ensure that no new data sources are added either to the Data Template, or the Graph Template.
