Question about php api to read in/out values

Hello,
We need to connect to Cacti to read IN/OUT or Total Value for every switch port and show them in our portal, as i know these values are store in RRD files, so is there any APi that we can connect to it and read those values ?
for example call a api in cacti and enter period of time and switch port id and graph id , then we will be able to read IN/OUT/Total value of graph,
because we need to know how much GB or TB every dedicated server used.

And for now how can i solve my issue?

You would need to make use of rrdtool and extract the data from the appropriate rrd file as cacti does.
