can i use cacti with my java program?

Post by annasfe »

Hi,
I already have a java program that uses SNMP to gather information and stores it in a MySQL database. I thought of using CACTI just as a grafic tool, to visualize my data and create some reports, but it seems to me that it is not possible and that using CACTI means using the whole package, from monitoring to data gathering and grafic creation, and everything with the CACTI php code and with a CACTI-specific format. Is that so?
Thanks

Cacti is built using PHP to use RRDtool to store data.

I would point you at RRDTool.

But to answer your question, no cacti doesn't have any java API.
