Designjet
I was wondering if anyone has possibly gotten the codes for a designjet, preferably the DJ4000; however, I tend to think that most all designjet codes would work. I've googled for an MIB list, as well as snmpwalk'd the printer -- the LJ codes for total pages printed today is just 'counter32', which without a rosetta stone of sorts would be hard to know what exactly counter32 counts.
Any help would be appreciated!

Great job!
and I would like to make it more perfectly.
The original host template only show us how many pages the remaining tone can be used for printing. but what info I prefered is the remained tone percent.So we can get two value from HP printer, one is the remain pages and other is the total pages. and remained_tone_percent = remain_pages/total_pages
using snmpwalk to get a hp5500 color laserjet's snmp oid:
...
SNMPv2-SMI::mib-2.43.11.1.1.8.1.1 = INTEGER: 13000
SNMPv2-SMI::mib-2.43.11.1.1.8.1.2 = INTEGER: 12000
SNMPv2-SMI::mib-2.43.11.1.1.8.1.3 = INTEGER: 12000
SNMPv2-SMI::mib-2.43.11.1.1.8.1.4 = INTEGER: 12000
SNMPv2-SMI::mib-2.43.11.1.1.8.1.5 = INTEGER: 120000
SNMPv2-SMI::mib-2.43.11.1.1.8.1.6 = INTEGER: 150000
SNMPv2-SMI::mib-2.43.11.1.1.9.1.1 = INTEGER: 12870
SNMPv2-SMI::mib-2.43.11.1.1.9.1.2 = INTEGER: 3600
SNMPv2-SMI::mib-2.43.11.1.1.9.1.3 = INTEGER: 11400
SNMPv2-SMI::mib-2.43.11.1.1.9.1.4 = INTEGER: 4800
SNMPv2-SMI::mib-2.43.11.1.1.9.1.5 = INTEGER: 69600
SNMPv2-SMI::mib-2.43.11.1.1.9.1.6 = INTEGER: 105000
...
I found the oid SNMPv2-SMI::mib-2.43.11.1.1.8.1 present the total pages, and the oid SNMPv2-SMI::mib-2.43.11.1.1.9.1 present the remain pages. take a look at the following screen.
snmpv2-smi...9.1.1/snmpv2-smi...8.1.1 = 99% = black Print Cartridge
snmpv2-smi...9.1.2/snmpv2-smi...8.1.2 = 30% = Cyan Print Cartridge
snmpv2-smi...9.1.3/snmpv2-smi...8.1.3 = 95% = Magenta Print Cartridge
snmpv2-smi...9.1.4/snmpv2-smi...8.1.4 = 40% = Magenta Print Cartridge
the 99%, 30%, 95% and 40% are my interesting info.
because I am not familiar with rrdtool, So is there anybody kindly can modify the original host template to feed my need?
thanks in advance.

Re: HP 2500 Laser Color Printer
Thanks a lot, I have a HP 2840, downloaded your template and it worked instantly.
Okay, there seems to be no CPU-Usage but I don't need that anyway.

How did you get it to work with 2600?tkempken wrote:works perfectly with hp color laserjet 2600n(se)
any information about how i can monitore total printed pages or percentage of toner left?
regards
I had to do a firmware update to get additional mibs to show up but nothing appears to have toner information?
Right now I like to monitor the toner levels, mainly i like seeing how fast i go through it on my various printers. any help on this is greatly appreciated.
cheers,
jon
hi jon
i GOT it working, but removed it already...
you have to remove the imaging drum inside of data template and graph template... otherwise no data will be shown in graph
it gave me values arround 40-50% but toner should be 100% (like shown in webpanel)... so on my case it got wrong numbers...
i created a workaround script which request the webpage of printer and collect the values inside of html code
it's not beautiful, but it works fast and exact...
take a look on: http://forums.cacti.net/viewtopic.php?t=24159
maybe it also helps you on your problem?
if you have got further questions => ask me
btw: are you from germany?
regards
