Hi Guys
I wrote a perl script to query one of our applications. It was working perfectly until I recently rebuilt our cacti machine(its on the same version 0.8.6.c of cacti, on win2k server). Now, when I run it manually, it work fine and outputs the below.
total:61 out:21 in:40 control:0 queued:1
When run from cacti I get the following errors from the log (when run in debug mode)
03/24/2005 06:20:24 PM - CACTID: Poller[0] Host[222] ERROR: Empty result [GlamCoreBris1.uk.gwrgroup.com]: 'perl.exe d:/inetpub/wwwroot/cacti/scripts/glamstats.pl -h glamcorebris1'
03/24/2005 06:20:24 PM - CACTID: Poller[0] Host[222] SCRIPT: perl.exe d:/inetpub/wwwroot/cacti/scripts/glamstats.pl -h glamcorebris1, output: U
The command line is perfect, there is no blank space at the end of the return values(which appears to be a problem in earlier posts). The IIS user has access to both the script and the cmd.exe.
Not sure what the "output: U" bit means, I'm assuming its normal.
I've cleared the poller cache and deleted data sources, but still get the problem.
Any suggestions? I'm about ready to give up.
Many thanks
Rossco
No data returned when running script.

Having read a few more posts I tried starting the script server manually (http://forums.cacti.net/viewtopic.php?t ... =u&start=0 )
Having started it and pasted in the command line menioned in the previous post I get the following error:
-----------------
WARNING: Function does not exist
-----------------
Thats it, nothing else. If I omit the leading "perl.exe" from the command line I simply get the perl script source printed to screen followed by the same error message above.
Very odd.
Cheers
