NetScreen issue

Post by pdb »

Hi,

I'm using the cacti_netscreen.zip file in this thread:
http://forums.cacti.net/viewtopic.php?t ... =netscreen

But I'm having issues 'tail -n 30 /var/log/cacti/poller.log':

Code: Select all

OK u:0.06 s:0.05 r:57.48
OK u:0.06 s:0.05 r:57.48

When I remove the NetScreen all errors disappear to it has to be the NetScreen.

Also when I run 'perl ./netscreen_stats.pl 000.000.000.000 public':
c

Code: Select all

pu1:2 cpu5:2 cpu15:2 memory_allocated:55184944 memoryAvailable:53106368 memoryFragmented:2775 sessionsAllocated:8 sessionsMaximum:2000 sessionsFailed:0
But when I run the script like this './netscreen_stats.pl 000.000.000.000 public':

Code: Select all

": No such file or directory
Does anybody have a clue what might be wrong?

You need to include the "perl ..." before the script name. Unix doesn't know about file type associations from the command line.

Isn't that what the '#!/usr/bin/perl' line is for?

Anyway, I added perl in front of my 'Data Input Methods -- Input String', but that didn't help, my poller.log still gives me those errors, and the graphs still give me NaN...

The weird thing is that when I run netscreen_stats.pl manually it works great, just the netscreen cacti profile doesn't seem to work as it should...

Anyway, isn't there a way to make poller.php be a bit more verbose about what it's doing?

It's quite hard to find the root of the evil with limited verbosity...
