Browser showing two different languages

Post by spikechoi »

Hi experts,

I got some trouble of cacti 1.2.2
The web interface is represented by two different languages at the same time.
When I change the global default themes, it doesn't work for the login page.
Anyone can explain it..?

So, the string in question is currently marked as 'fuzzy' which means there's a translation but it's likely to be wrong so you shouldn't use it. When that happens, the default language (engilish) is displayed.

We are starting a new translation service which is about to go to end user trials, if you are interested, PM me for more details. This will hopefully help speed up and verify a lot more of the strings used within Cacti. In our translation service, the string below is translated in Chinese (Simplified) as:

(please note, I've kinda guess that was the language you are using based of what I could see below).

As a whole, Chinese is probably one of the better translated languages in core:

Hi,

I didn't install any translate plugin in my browser.
It is fine when I am using cacti 1.1.x. It displayed by full English.
However,
I installed a new VM and new install by `yum`.
After the installation wizard, the web interface is showing two different languages.. it made me very sad.
My 1.1.38 cacti interface is fine.

Right, so when there is a new installation, it automatically detects the language based on your browser unless you override that in the settings (or user profile). Set the language to english and it will all be english :)
