tried everything to fix Fatal error: Call to undefined funct

Hi,
I had to install CACTI and its components on D: and I am using IIS
WHen I Start http:\\localhost\cacti I get the famous error message:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function mysql_connect() in D:\cacti\lib\adodb\drivers\adodb-mysql.inc.php on line 338

It does not seem to be an authentication issue. Running CACTID from the prompt gives:

D:\cactid>cactid
CACTID: Using cactid config file [cactid.conf]
CACTID: Windows Environment, root permissions not required for ICMP Ping
CACTID: Version 0.8.6d starting
CACTID: Host[1] PING Result: Ping not performed due to setting.
CACTID: Execution Time: 0.3900 s, Threads: 5, Hosts: 1

after rebooting it was OK.

Yes, it's not in the cacti's manual, but after a fresh install a restart is needed! I had the same problem

So..... what do we do if the reboot does not help?

Make sure that your server is not set to "localhost", you need to use the Loopback IP address or the IP address/hostname of the ethernet interface.
