I was tired of aimlessly searching for a template for ICMP statistics and getting half of the data and scrounging uselessly for the rest (the mysterious, mystical PERL script!), so I cobbled together a template of my own. Please read the pretty simple README instructions and have at it.
Included files:
Data source template
Graph template
icmp_statistics.pl (PERL file that manipulates the PING requests into Cacti readable data)
README
This script can be rather intensive since it sends out bursts of PINGs to however many devices you determine. I defaulted it to 15 PINGs per poll (per device). This is changeable in the Cacti data source template, but I limited the PERL script at a max of 25. When you implement this, check your logs for poller overruns and adjust accordingly. This was written on a CentOS Linux server, so Windows users may have to tweak it a bit.
