Re: Sent email up/down cacti time very slow
That would depend on your polling times. If you have retries set to 3 and you are polling every 5 minutes, that means that if you polled at 8am and it was up, but at 8:03 it went down, then at 8:05 would be the first down status, meaning it would be 8:20 before the third one.

Re: Sent email up/down cacti time very slow
So if you have something using the high collection rate, then 2 cycles would be a minute. 4 cycles would be 2 minutes, etc.

Re: Sent email up/down cacti time very slow
I still do not understand the formula to calculate the time to send a warning mail UP/DOWN.
Pls help me clear my case. Because receive very long time (20 minutes). This is not real-time for monitor Network Device

Re: Sent email up/down cacti time very slow
time = data source profile x number of polling events
ergo:
2 minutes = 0.5 minutes x 4
ergo:
2 minutes = 0.5 minutes x 4

Re: Sent email up/down cacti time very slow
So, if i choose Data Source Profile : High Collection Rate
Do I need to change : Cacti Settings -> Poiler ?
Currently Poller Type : cmd.php
Poller Interval : Every 5 Minutes -> ? change
Cron Interval: Every 5 Minutes -> ? change
And Do I need to change ?
My Settings are:
Cacti Settings (Poller)
Host Up/Down Settings
Failure Count 3 -> ? change
Recovery Count 3 -> ? change
or just change it correctly Data Source Profile : High Collection Rate is ok ???

Re: Sent email up/down cacti time very slow
You need to change your recover/failure count for those thresholds which will utilise the data sources that are running against the high collection data profile. Please search on changing a data source's profile (you may have to delete and recreate), as I have always used a one minute profile and never changed from that. I believe that there can be consequences to changing an active data sources profile.
