cacti does not re-create graph after delete rrd manually

Hi guys, for some reason I have to change data profile for all existing graphs (hundreds graphs)
I google and please correct me if I am wrong, the easy way to do so is

- change the data profile for the graph (will use data_template_associate_rra.php when bulk)

- delete the rrd file from var/lib/cacti/rra manually

- wait for cacti to re-create the graph automatically

however, I only tried one graph and change the data profile from web UI, delete that rrd file, and cacti does not re-create the graph, performed rebuild poller cache still nothing...

grateful if anyone could help on this!

Check the folder permissions. Likelihood is that you have had permissions set that allow read/write of the RRD but not at the folder level so can't create a new one.

Thanks for reminding !
I applied chmod 777 to two sub directories.
/var/lib/cacti
/var/lib/cacti/rra
Still nothing, anywhere else I need to check permission too?
