Create second graph / graph template from existing data sour

Post by rperrett »

Hi,

I am currently using mURLin as a data source to graph several application websites. This gives me a nice breakdown of DNS, SSL connect, processing, and downloading.

I want to know if its possible to use the existing data sources for these graphs, but feed them into a secondary graph template that will give me ONLY "server processing time" on its own. This would be to be a function and calculate the difference between 2 existing data sources as mURLin always counts from zero. So I'd need to calculate time(server_processing) - time(ssl connected).

Any help? I love Cacti, however I think its been 2 years since I modified any configuration.

Thanks in advance,
Rob

Eventually found this execellent tutorial which helped me to get it working:

viewtopic.php?t=8415

CDEF function is: CDEF:cdefc='a,b,-' \

How can I create a template and then easily create ~30 graphs based off the existing ones?
