I'm running Cacti 0.8.6b on Debian. I'm trying to monitor disk space on an NT 4 server with the SNMP agent and SNMP4NT installed. I can successfully pull SNMP data from the cacti server command line using snmpget. However I cannot seem to connect to the device in Cacti, which gives it a status of Down. I've tried changing th version and the host template. The community is correct.
Has anyone experienced this or have any ideas?
Thanks,
Will

First, upgrade to 0.8.6c before you do anything else. Then, goto System Utilities->View Poller Cache and look for the IP address of you host. If it's missing, that will explain why it stays down.
This is also an indication of either a poorly defined template or orphaned Data Sources in your database. If this is the case, I would delete all Data Sources and Graphs associated with this host and start over.

For those wondering, I'm still here, but lost in the shadows. Yearning for less bugs. Who want's a Cacti 1.3/2.0? Streams anyone?
